South African Special Service Battalion Ceremonial Parade Belt – 1St Battalion

This is an original ceremonial parade belt issued to the 1st Battalion of the South African Special Service Battalion (SSB), featuring the national colours of pre-1994 South Africa. The belt displays woven blue, white, and orange stripes, and includes a central chrome-finish clasp embossed with the SSB springbok insignia surrounded by bilingual inscriptions: ‘1 Spesiale Diensbataljon’ and ‘1 Special Service Battalion’. This type of belt was worn with full dress uniforms during ceremonial occasions and military parades in the 1970s and 1980s.
