Austro-Hungarian Imperial Army Brass Belt Buckle – WW1 Era

+ Free Shipping

Original Austro-Hungarian Imperial Army enlisted man’s belt buckle from the late 19th century to WW1 period, bearing the double-headed Habsburg eagle with Imperial crown and the Austrian and Hungarian shields on the chest. The eagle holds the sword and orb, confirming Imperial Austro-Hungarian state symbolism and excluding German origin. The buckle is of heavy brass construction with deeply struck relief, showing hand-finished detail typical of Imperial manufacture. The reverse retains the correct early soldered prong bar and hooks, consistent with pre-1918 production. Surface wear, patina, copper bleed-through, and oxidation are consistent with age and long-term service use rather than reproduction.
