Brass fittings show heavy verdigris and oxidation consistent with long-term service and storage, while the webbing exhibits compression, edge wear, and metal transfer staining. Ink date marking 1911 confirms early manufacture, with reissue and reuse in WW2 being standard Commonwealth practice, particularly in Canadian service.
