French officer’s sabre patterned after the Model 1882 design, featuring a straight single-fullered blade, ribbed leather grip with intact wire binding, and a triple-branched brass guard. A stamped 38 marking is present at the base of the guard. The blade shows consistent age patina with no sharpening or grinding, the grip remains structurally intact, and the hilt displays uniform dulling from age, with no looseness or structural issues.
