Union Defence Force Staff Corps Officer’S Visor Cap

This original peaked visor cap originates from the Union Defence Force (UDF) of South Africa and was used by a Staff Corps officer. The cap is crafted from khaki wool and features a brown leather chinstrap secured by silver lion-and-spear buttons. The front bears a brass UDF crest with red backing and the designation SASC / ADK (South African Staff Corps / Administrative and District Command). A high-grade bullion-embroidered wreath and thistle pattern on the visor suggests senior officer rank. The inner oilcloth lining is worn but original.
