This is an original West German Polizei officer’s visor cap issued for the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW), produced during the postwar decades (likely 1970s-1980s). The front insignia includes a silver starburst with the North Rhine-Westphalia state emblem, incorporating the River Rhine and rearing horse. A cockade is mounted above in traditional red-black-gold.
