Original WW2 German Luftwaffe enlisted leather service belt produced under RZM-controlled Luftwaffe contract in 1937. The internal stamp L2/682/37 identifies a registered Luftwaffe leather contractor, with L2 denoting Luftwaffe clothing and equipment, 682 the maker number, and 37 the contract year. This marking system was used exclusively on early Luftwaffe leather gear before simplified depot codes were introduced. The belt is constructed from thick brown leather with correct machine stitching, riveted hook tab, and period hardware, all showing coherent age, wear, and oxidation. This is a genuine early Luftwaffe belt, belt-only example, not paired with a buckle.
